Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager and under the general supervision of the Radiologists, performs radiographic procedures to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. Works effectively with patients and patients' families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.
POSITION SUMMARY EXPANDED
Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act,?(The Unity Bill) this position is considered a Safety-sensitive position. Safety-sensitive is defined to include any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others. Employees working in safety-sensitive roles are subject to this exception and subject to disciplinary action in the event of a positive test for marijuana or its metabolites.
Job Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function satisfactorily. Cross train to perform optimum diagnostic radiographs and Cat Scans which will aid in the diagnosis and treatment of an illness or injury.
Follow safe and effective practices while performing diagnostic procedure, and provide radiation protection for all patients and hospital personnel during such duties.
Documents, records, and files accurate patient reports in a manner consistent with the department policies and procedures, including but not limited too: patient radiology cards, folders, requisitions, films, and reports.
Demonstrates proper radiation safety and consistent with state and federal mandated regulation for yourself patients and other medical personnel.
Demonstrates ability to correctly schedule patients for services offered at this facility either by our on-premise equipment or by mobile services contracted by CTCMH
Demonstrate the ability to successfully film CT's and/or Radiographic films when necessary.
Demonstrate the proper positioning and techniques needed for the entire list of Radiographic and CT procedures performed.
Demonstrates proper documentation procedures including, but not limited too: consent forms and Outpatient procedure sheets.
Demonstrates understanding of all policy and procedures as documented in policy and procedure manuals.
Demonstrates knowledge of administration of IV contrast including, but not limited to: pre-contrast labs, allergic reactions and the need to have a Doctor present during injection.
Demonstrates proper disposition of patient upon completion of procedure.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Seek out external resources through conferences, workshops, etc. as necessary.
Share professional knowledge with hospital staff, board members, and administrator.
Comply with HIPAA regulatory requirements.
Adhere to the companies/facilities philosophy, mission, and policies and procedures.
Support the facility goals and objectives.
Maintains a good attendance record and follows all hospital rules, policies and procedures.
Maintains open and effective communications with patients and their nurses, physicians, peers, supervisors, and students. Establishes and maintains excellent interdepartmental and interpersonal relationships.
Attends departmental meetings and in-services to stay current with the developments of the department and hospital.
Observes that proper safety measures are enforced in the techniques used on patients receiving therapy. Maintains high safety standards in the facility.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrates initiative, ability to work with others, and use professional judgement.
Knowledge of Regulatory standards, compliance requirements and hospital policies and procedures
Must be able to provide on-call services at the hospital as needed.
Education and/or Experience
High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of a training program in radiology technology from an approved school.
Minimum of an associate degree in applied science.
Two (2) years previous hospital experience preferred.
Emergency Room experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification
BLS required upon hire and maintained throughout employment.
Proof of all required License(s) and Certification(s) due at time of hire.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
