The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.

JOB
Summary:
Responsible for verifying and entering all new insurance information into the RPMS Patient Registration software for both East and West Clinics.
Essential Functions:
Intake/Registration staff will obtain new insurance cards from patients as they update demographic and insurance information.
Copies of the cards will be forwarded to the Insurance Clerk who will verify and enter the appropriate information into RPMS and Computer Rx.
Works closely with Intake/Registration and Benefits staff to get insurance cards and other information needed.
Calls insurance companies or verifies insurance eligibility for Medical, Dental, PT, Optometry, Pharmacy and any other applicable services online using the appropriate websites.
Enters accurate information into RPMS Registration database and Computer Rx database, and enters detailed notes in each patient's demographic record indicating eligibility dates and benefits.
Works closely with billing and accounts receivable staff to ensure insurance information is accurate and current.
Reviews Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) for claims denied due to incorrect or terminated insurance coverage and researches and corrects insurance information.
Reviews appointment lists as time permits to review insurance information for patients with upcoming appointments.
Retrieves reports as requested.

The ability to enter and maintain computer data.
Must be self-motivated.
The ability to handle multi-tasks.
Good organization and analytical skills are needed.
Good judgment is needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer knowledge and experience required.
Experience in medical office preferred.
Medical Terminology preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ability to be seated or standing for prolonged periods of time.
Repetitive work at a computer.
Some lifting, bending, stretching, and kneeling may be required.
The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Compliance with all immunization requirements to work in a healthcare setting.

Health facility office environment.
