49 CPN Health Services personnel may be assigned to provide services to patients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.
ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS:
In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance.
The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.
00 for Employee Only, $95.
00 Employee plus Children, $120.
00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.
00 Employee plus family.
JOB
Summary:
Responsible for answering phones and scheduling patient appointments in a pleasant and professional manner.
Assist with third party billing and accounts receivable (A/R).
Essential Functions:
Set and recall appointments for the Dentist and the Dental Hygienist in an efficient and effective manner.
Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner.
Confirm appointments with patients the night before the appointment, as well as additional times as directed by supervisor.
Log in the appropriate information into the computer.
Scanning of documents for health records.
Make patient follow-up calls.
Sort mail and new patient applications, maintain and manage spreadsheet of potential new patients.
Check in lab cases properly.
Help in treatment area when needed.
Works to maintain a full schedule and manages the schedule efficiently.
Manages all duties regarding no show/suspension letters ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The ability to remain calm in a stressful situation.
Knowledge of proper telephone usage.
Good organizational and time management skills.
The ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.
Accurate typing/data entry skills.
Must have good organizational skills and be able to work independently.
The ability to communicate effectively and accurately with providers, patients, third party reimbursement sources, and other staff.
Required to abide by confidentiality policy.
Knowledge of RPMS, Dentrix, EHR is a plus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working chair side preferred.
Experience with medical terminology, CDT, and ICD codes preferred.
Some computer experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting or standing.
Repetitive motion at a computer.
Light lifting, stooping, and bending will be required.
The ability to handle a large workload with demanding deadlines.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Majority of job duties will be dental front office but may also include the general dental clinic environment with frequent exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens and patient body fluids.
