DTZ, Inc has an immediate opening for a Journeyman HVAC Mechanic in Shawnee, OK

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: To analyze and correct process cooling, heating and comfort cooling problems. Repair and overhaul HVAC equipment and controls. Perform PM's and assist others with task that are not strictly HVAC in nature but is included in the scope of work for the customer.


SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:
Starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
Troubleshoot and provide solutions to areas of Life Safety, PLC controls, Heating Air Conditioning and Ventilation controls, Swamp Coolers, Compressors, Water Treatment, RO/DI and Chiller maintenance are optimal skills sets. A Universal Certificate will be required.
The customer system of Last Minutes Risk Assessment and Permitting work prior to execution is standard operating procedure
completed to serve as a back-up and transferable information
Maintain positive Customer Relations and with co-workers
Consistent attendance in accordance with Company policies
Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning theory and principles, EPA regulations, statutory codes, properties of materials and principles of operation of Window, Roof Top Units, Chillers, Cooling Towers and related equipment.
Maintain proper paperwork and records such as written daily services tickets accounting for work hours and tasks performed in plant are necessary to determine status of open work orders.
Maintain effective and complete documentation, such as drawings or a logbook, for work
Follow allsafe work practices and procedures including but not limited to LOTO.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES:
Insure that tasks are reviewed by the equipment owner prior to commencement
Must be able to adapt to changes in scope of work as business dictates
Possess a through knowledge of the PM paperwork process to provide clarity and insure corrective task are handled in an efficient manner

Qualifications:

Education:
Possess a high school degree or an approved GED
Certification Universal Certificate covering all refrigerant recovery and charging
Experience: Preferred skill set include but not limited to
Five years experience in HVAC/refrigeration maintenance Commercial/Industrial experience
Aware and participated in safe work practices
Understanding of NEC codes and practices
Industrial HVAC experience and repairs preferred. Life Safety, PLC controls, Heating Air Conditioning and Ventilation controls, Swamp Coolers, Compressors, Water Treatment, RO/DI and Chiller maintenance are optimal skills sets.
